Pardon the Interruption of the SFNN blog…
But we’re back today… just in time for the Democratic Debate between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. Things have been heating up lately… the claws are out… and the poll numbers are only adding fuel to the fire. We’ll have a live report on tonight’s debate.

Plus you may know her as the host of Top Chef… tonight in our Ocean Drive segment we talk to Padma Lakshmi.

Around here we’re having our Black History Month celebration. Take a live look at the festivities… along with a speech by Barrington Irving… right here.

Super Duper Fat Tuesday

February 5, 2008

24 States.
One Day.
Millions of Voters.

All those things make for a Super Duper Tuesday… across the country… and in our newsroom. We have 5 reporters covering all the candidates, and the voter analysis. Nick Bogert is in house taking a look at all the states, and the trends. If you’re like many of us in the newsroom, who can’t pull ourselves away from the wall to wall coverage on today’s events… it’s going to be a long night!

Plus– it’s all Fat Tuesday. The one lucky reporter *not* assigned to politics will be live in our show. :)

February First

February 1, 2008

February in the newsroom means Sweeps, Super Bowl, and our annual Chart Your Heart campaign.

The political world is focused on Super Tuesday, but sports fans are looking forward to Super Sunday. Yup– the big game is this weekend. This time last year we were preparing for the country to focus on Miami… but this time, the Arizona desert gets the spotlight. Nevertheless, people who don’t necessarily like watching the game, enjoy watching the ads. Tonight we’ll take a look at some of what you can expect in between plays.

February in TV Land means sweeps. Considering the writer’s strike is still going on, you won’t have the big teasable “must see” episodes of your favorite shows (although NBC is rolling out several all-new shows this month) In the news world… it means special reports. And tonight we begin with Diana Gonzalez. She’s going to take a look at how the recent dancing reality show craze is getting people off the couch and onto the dance floor… and of course, it’s beneficial to your health!
