From our morning editorial meeting, until now… just hours away from our broadcast… our show has changed 1,000 times. It’s been one of those days where whatever you planned in the morning, either falls through, or turns out to not be that big of a deal. But we’ve got a full show for you today… (as we do everyday… ha!).
The one that just makes me say “WHAT?!!?” is the report of a person being bitten by a rabid bat in Miami-Dade county. I don’t know about you… but I’m not used to seeing those critters flying around. They look like mice with wings to me, and the thought of a bite just makes my skin crawl. I’ve seen them fly around in packs (flocks? what’s the word for a group of bats?)… but in North Florida, and nowhere near Miami. Maybe I just need to get out more often… but I feel safer inside my apartment, sans rabid animals.
Another story that’s got everyone buzzing… did Al Capone live in Miami? Lots of rumors about safe houses he kept in SFL (there’s always a SFL Connection… always remember that)… but did he live in the Miami Beach home that went up in flames today?
And with all these natural disasters… the cyclone in Myanmar… the devastating earthquake in China… what’s up with Mother Nature? Meteorologist Jennifer Gray will have the scientific perspective.
See you tonight at 7pm. (well technically, it’s 6:59:05!)
